Internet Explorer Help??

Hey anyone really good with computers? Here is my problem. Many websites I visit I can not use certain parts of them because it says javascript isn't enabled. I have tried to go throught the Tools menu to Internet Options and then to Security and everything is set to where it should be.

Here's what I think what happened ..... I was cleaning out my computer and I got a little too crazy and I think I erased something that is really necessary. It was something to the extent of ACTIVEX ...... now such websites such as www.candystand.com .... I can't go to and play .... games won't load! This is a total pain in the ass, there are so many times I can't do things on websites because of this! .....

NOthing has worked.... NO RESTORE POINTS, NO downloads that I can find on Microsoft.com ..!!!!

Please if you know how to help do so before I kill my computer!!!!

Java was removed from XP SP2. You'll have to go to Sun Java's website to download it.

As for Active X controls, go into Tools at teh top, then INternet Options, then click on security. In that page click on Custom level at teh bottom. Then look for Download signed active X controls, click prompt. Then it will ask you if you want to download that active X.

WTF??? yeah so for example when I got to weather.com , and try to look at the 10 day forecast I get a message at the top that goes like:

It appears that you do not have JavaScript enabled.
Please enable JavaScript so you may enjoy all the features of weather.com

and I can't use certain parts of pages ..... when I click on certain things nothing will happen and when I look down in the left hand lower corner of my IE window it will say like: javascript()

????? My computer used to work fine .... even with my Norton Anti Virus ....... I think this problem started when I installed SP2 for Internet Explorer!!?!?!?!

did you try a restore point?

Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore

Pick a date before you tried to be a rocket scientist with your PC and see if you can undo your booboo that way.
