Help, Computer professionals/geeks

Every time I hit a webpage a security box comes up and asks if I want to run active x controls. My question is how do I eliminate this box from popping up every time I hit a webpage. Your expertise is always appreciated

Just say yes and it'll quit.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Is it asking if you want to install ActiveX from blablabla? Make sure you know the company that it says it's from if you're going to install it. If you say yes to the wrong one it'll be the quick road to popup/spyware hell for your computer.

Add the site to your trusted sites list.

or change the internet security settings to custom, enabling active x downloads

I agree. You just gave any website permission to install any software they want on your PC. Good luck from me too.

Bad move. Now, every site you visit will have the ability to install intrusive spyware and other junk programs. Either add that specific site to your trusted list (disabling Active-X elsewhere), or just live with the security question. Lowering your security everywhere will only cause you grief.

This is a very good idea. Stay away from the porn till Shad gets there.

How does the saying go: "One never jokes." j/k
In all seriousness, I would still keep the browsing on an as-needed basis, and no, alternate sexual preferences does not fall under this category. Again, j/k
