Why can't i save video's on my computer??

...i've got a newer Dell computer (Dimension series) and i can't "Save Target As" properly for video links??...it keeps trying to save as an HTML document...any advice??

link usually takes you to an HTML page, which displays the movie inside the html page (its *****ded)

i think the only way to get the actual movie is to view the code, copy & paste the URL.

what is the name of the file it trys to save it as? sometimes (depending on how the links are created by the page) the browser interprets them wrong and it munges the URL...

It's not the fall that hurts... it's the sudden stop at the end...

I just switch between browsers.. if it is internet exploder I use firefox/mozilla or vice-versa.

It may be that you don't have javascript enabled and you should, or you do and you shouldn't...

If it is something like the google video above, well, it is possible but it is a major pain in the ass...

If it's video within a url, click the link and the video will start playing within the window. Give it a few minutes to download, depending on size, then go into your temporary internet files folder and locate the video file that was just downloaded via the link. Then you can copy that file from the folder. This is what I do in order to save streamed media like so.
