need advise on what to do. Start-Programs "i cant see the 3rd page on the right"

you know when you hit start, programs, then those long windows open up showing all the programs?

well i have a 3rd page but i cant see exactly what programs are on it, i can barley catch the 1st 3 letters in it.

its only when i highlight it that it says what it is.

is there a way to make it smaller or expand it or something so i can completely see what that 3rd page has on it?

maybe try the control panel, display, settings, advanced, and then DPI

or

control panel, taskbar, start menu, customize, small icons?

not sure if that will help.

You can do a Right Click on your taskbar (Next to the start button) and select properties. Then Select the Start Menu Tab, and select the Customize button next to the Start Menu you have selected. Scroll through the list until you see "Scroll Programs". Check the box next to it and you will be able to scroll through your programs instead of having 3 pages.

cleanup time! remove all that crap from your start menu.

we're in the IT biz and even most of us geeks don't have half the shit you do

or go make folders and organize your stuff and throw all the individual progs you have into folders. that should shorten the number of columns you see when you go look through your All Programs menu(s)

Ya what the heck are you adding, that was a brand new machine a couple months ago. I cant even think of that much good software out there to add to fill that much space.

oh and youll get use to the smaller size ioon the screen, it nice to be able to fit more on there. I run my 17" flat panel at 1280x1024 anfd its perfect.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

buy another computer

no seriously, knowing your luck with computers, you should keep your work and play stuff separate. you don't want your goof off stuff to clobber anythign related to the new biz
