Guess I gotta buy another Ipod

So time to replace my mini ipod and while I'd love to go with any other mp3 player...the one thing that Apple has is very very smooth integration with all of my podcasts that I listen to via Itunes. So my first question is if anyone has some other software that can manage podcast subscriptions as well as Itunes does?

Most likely not, so looks like it'll be a Nano or 30gigger for me. Though leaning towards the nano..I have no use for the video and even the 60 gig version wouldn't fit my collection (sigh) such tough choices

Why buy a 4gig nano when for $50 more you can get 7 times more space?? Seems like a no brainer to me, just picked up a 30 gig yesterday. Oh yeah on the fullsize ipods you can get an attachment to download your digi camera right onto the ipod!! That feature sold me for vacations instead of dragging along the laptop.

Well couple counter points why I lean towards the smaller size. For starters I like that it's a USB stick and not a spinning HD. That's not a massive point, but more like a cherry on top. In reality I don't need the space. I mean, when I used my 4 gig mini, I used pretty much all of it all the time, but what's the point of 30 gigs? Sure if I wanted to have 30 gigs of music I guess it's nice, but I switch music all the time. New trance mix comes out and I remove the old and put in the new. Going through 30 gigs of mp3s is something I just don't need too...with the beauty of playlists, it takes minutes to swap out one list for another and get my podcasts updated. And finally, the size is a big factor. Nano will fit easily into a pocket and aren't a pain to go jogging with. Video is pretty honkin' big. Mini was perfect size for me.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!
