The problem with iPods and Itunes is that is it tied to one computer. There are ways to making separate playlists, so you can use more than one Ipod on a PC but it is tricky. When my brother got an iPod Nano and tried to sync his devil music on my PC, he totally messed up my playlists.

Anyway, try it on one PC and one PC only. iPods suck. iTunes suck. These days I use my cell phone for everything, including MP3s.

ipod is tricky? how does your head not explode when it comes to operating your motorcycle?

PJ, if you're going to be connecting it to multiple computers you need to go change your settings so that you manually manage your music on that ipod rather than letting it automatically sync.

From the list on the left hand side of the iTunes window, select your ipod under the DEVICES section. You should see a Summary tab with an option to check for "Manually manage music".

You can then drag music, movies, tv shows, podcasts, ebooks, etc. from your computer's LIBRARY onto your ipod and not lose them when you connect to a different computer

Exactly. You can use one iPod on several computers but you need to make sure its set to manually manage.
Also, if you don't change this setting and you delete music off your computer, iTunes will delete the music off your iPod next time you plug it in.
