Where to get Memory?

Who knows where to get some good quality memory at a good price?

What brands should I buy and what brands should I stay away from?

It's for my Dell Inspiron 9300 Laptop. The type I need is PC2-4200 / 533 MHz 200-pin 128x64 DIMM Memory. I am looking for a 1GB card.

Thanks.

Mike

crucial.com has fair prices and promises the mem is compatible with you computer. They have a nice pull down system to pick your exact computer and match it up with the proper mem.

Try Tigerdirect.com for the memory, the best memory for a dell laptop is the Kingston brand.

Just go with Crucial. Last time I was building a computer I went through 3 different most expensive brands. In the end, 2 exchanges, 3 returns because nothing would work right. High spec RAM targeted for overclockers and gamers may be a tiny bit faster than the regular shit, but it will be much more expensive and often unstable. I ended up with Crucial, used them many times.

Check out ebay or craigslist too. I doubt your dell needs anything high performance.

Most memory comes with lifetime warranty anyways..

Kingston valueram will work fine

Thanks everyone. I think I'll get the Crucial 2x1GB cards for about $125.00.
