Run it about 10 times you will get all varying times. clear the cache and try again and you will get something more realistic. Comcast is no where near that good.

By the way, be sure to do a power cycle on modem and router...shouldn't have to, but always a good thing.

Yea but to be fair I noticed it on some other servers too. No problem taking out half the team and then 10 shots before I down the host. They need to fix that and simply put everyone on a slight delay or something like that. Otherwise it's frustrating.

Anyone got the 20/2 package from rcn?
I don't recall the pricing, but the speeds are pretty fast..~2.5MB/s download, and close to 250KB/s upload

I have a love/hate relationship with rcn. Their prices are better than comcast (I don't have video), there are direct means to rcn tech's via dslreports.
On the other hand, their service and network infrastructure seems less stable/consistent than comcast's. Their agreements with peers seems second rate.
On the flipside, when the speeds do work, i can't complain.
Anyways, on a good day, speeds look like this;
------------------------------------------------------------------
DOWNLOAD
File size transferred : 29.5 MB (30937448 bytes)
Total time taken : 10.03 seconds (10031 milliseconds)
Throughput : 3084.0 KB/sec [Kilobyte-per-second]
= 3.08 MB/sec [Megabyte-per-second]
= 24672.0 Kbps [Kilobit-per-second]
= 24.67 Mbps [Megabit-per-second]
-----------
Upload
------------------------------------------------------------------
File size transferred : 14.75 MB (15468724 bytes)
Total time taken : 56.14 seconds (56140 milliseconds)
Throughput : 275.0 KB/sec [Kilobyte-per-second]
= 0.28 MB/sec [Megabyte-per-second]
= 2200.0 Kbps [Kilobit-per-second]
= 2.2 Mbps [Megabit-per-second]

how about y'all post up some real world speed tests. Ones that are more than 50 miles away
Try west coast, that's usually a fair test.

Yeah, further ones are usually more accurate, this is mine for my standard comcast 5mb package or whatever it is.

My 3Mb DSL contract expires next month. Comcast is on my list.
Fock all these retarded bandwidth tests. Let's see some real world usage. How fast can you DL pr0n? Even with 3Mbit DSL, I rarely get 1/2 that throughput.

I get all my pr0n from Torrents. I don't have the time to scour the net for sites only to get spyware and other crap. With torrents, I set it and forget it.

But what I'm saying is there's no need to power cycle a router usually.
