Firefox issue

Anyone else having any issues with Firefox? i keep getting "Firefox has encountered a problem and needs to close" about 5 times an hour and it's been doing this for weeks. My wife is having the same issue on her laptop and her work computer. Any ideas? I have the latest FF on and I even un-installed and re-installed it and it still does this crap.

I have FF 1.5.0.11 and its working FINE for me. Always has. I'm on WinXP Pro and my laptop runs on WinXP Home.

Did you download an extension to FF? That can cause issues sometime. Also, if you've changed any of the security settings in it?

Have you installed any other software? If so what?

More details will help. thanks.

Nope, everything is the same. It did this 2 months ago for a day and it stopped. What's an extension to FF?

Always make a backup of the programs and profile directories before upgrading. I believe there's a way to start firefox up in safe mode too..

I do have Google, but it's been there since I had it. Could it be with the last update Google and FF don't work together? If so how do i un-install google?

FireFox 2.0.0.3 on XP Pro with ForecastFox (weather,) Web Developer and Firebug add-ons and everythings fine for me. Only freezing issue I have is with TG Motocross 3 if I hit a key before the wheels hit the groun and then I get a message about a "dangerous script" that will cause instability.

Namaste

Fox Tail

Do a system checkpoint before you install anything. If you have any hiccups then go back to that point.

For you it sounds like a compatibility issue with another software program. Check for any recent changes (including the 2 months ago time). Did you add and/or upgrade?

I'm not having any problems with Firefox except I have some "tab lines" at the top of FF and when I open Explorer to look through folders. I think that's another bug in and of itself.
