Can I force my Gateway to change?

From my work pc I noticed that my gateway changes every couple days. I know that I can go into the properties and give myself a different one manually, but is it possible to force a flush and land a new one? ipconfig /release seems to give me back the same info, so doing it through the properties might be the only way I can think of.

Looks like DHCP is changing it. It's for work so as long as it doesn't stop you from working it really doesn't matter.

Wired...but wondering what's the difference?
We run DHCP here...all I care to change is my gateway.

Why do you need to change the gateway? Second it's at work. Call the help desk.

The one I'm on is blocked on my home pc. I need to drop to 250 or below to be ok. Was a bit lazy when allowing the rangeof IP's and allowed 1-250 instead of 1-255. Who woulda guessed I'd land on 254

Not sure how your work is set up but usually it's a subnet with 1 default gateway. DHCP lease seems to be 3 days and you get a completely new address instead of just renewing the one you have now. I wouldn't screw with the work pc. It'll probably screw you in 3 days when you get a new lease. Just wait until you get home and fix there.
