I have been playing vid games since the true arcade days and can still remember my first home console, the 2600 and I have NEVER loved a console so much. This is the funnest thing you can freaking own... totally freaking addicted. Cannot wait for more games to come out... The freaking controller is awesome... nuff said, send the codes!

I've got one. I don't go online enough. I've got a SLOW DSL hookup.

What games are good? I've got Zelda, of course. I just finished that. It's good, but I don't like that there are NO save points in the palaces. When you head to a palace, you are playing for 3 or so hours straight. I just don't have that much time. I've also got Paper Mario.

Chills, keep checking the nearest Walmart every day when you get a chance. You'll probably land one in a week. I've gone up to my local walmart twice and found them in stock. But not on weekends.

Chills also gamestops on Mondays or Targets on Tuesdays...

I got Wii Play for the extra controller and found it fun, so far the bet has been playing with other people (isn`t that the same for almost everything?)

I have read some good reviews for Mario Party 8 that just came out and Excite Truck.

I've read not so great reviews on Mario Party, it looks to be more of the same (board game with some minigames, no fun solo).

I usually get my info from videogames.com , but cross check with ign.com.

Zelda should be at least 30 hours... and beating Mario 64 and Starfox 64 all over should also take some time.

Zelda:Twilight Princess for me was over 60 hours. And they have three (soon to be 4) other Zelda games in Virtual Console (1, Link to the Past, and Ocerina of time). You can also pick up GameCube games for it.

The biggest problem is that no games aside from Mario Galaxy are catching my eye on the horizon.

I got one a couple months ago used from someone on another forum and love it. Right now I'm addicted to Need For Speed Carbon. It wasn't that good until I got the Wii Steering Wheel for it. The remote just snaps right into it and it's only $20. Makes the game much more enjoyable.

I also have Wii Sports, Zelda, Red Steel and some fishing game that came with it.

Check the Best Buy/Circuit City/Target/etc. ads online every day or so. They usually announce that they will have them in stock on a given day. Get to the store an hour before opening and I bet you'll get one.

I've always been into video games. Want to get one of these

But the kids went over to a friends house and played a Wii and I was thinking maybe for Christmas? They are 7 & 10 would this be a good idea for them?
