Wireless down

My Motorola surfboard is not responding, comcast internet service,(IE: not online) therefore my Linksys can not pick it up therefore no internet (only when I hop on my neighbors wireless, gotta love townhomes). How do I correct this issue, I have already tried rebooting the surfboard, computer, I have double checked all the wires and nothing. Is it possible this thing is fried?

Reset the cable box and the linksys and everything else that is on it should work or your cable might be down for some reason on the comcast side. No problems here as i have comcast

There's a certain order that works for some reason, but I can't remember exactly what it is. I was having problems with mine for a few hours and finally caved and called Comcast. They had me power everything down and back up in a specific order and it worked perfectly.

I forgot that I put my account on vacation mode starting July 10-August 10 . So my Internet and my Comcast digital is down but my regular tv's are working? Seems a bit weird to me that the regular hook ups are working.

Dork.

They disable you modem's MAC address so you can't get an IP address nor route traffic while in that mode.

At least you remembered before calling up Comcast and bitching them out LOL.

Or did you?
