Need Vista/XP dual boot help

I bought a new toshiba laptop last week so I could work from home...it came with the Vista basic addition. Vista blows ass (as most of you know!) and is slow as hell (I only have 512 of Ram...planning to upgrade to 2g)..and the kicker, my VPN doesn't work with Vista.

To remedy this we partitionaed my hard drive and have XP and Vista loaded. I am able to sign onto my VPN through X"P but have a few snags.

I have no sound in XP. Anyone know where to find drivers? My brother has set this whole thing up an can't seem to locate the drivers.

I also can't print From vista OR xp. . I hear this is a known problem with vista, and my brother can't find any print driver to load on the xp side.

I should also note that I am on a wireles router...not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Any help is appreciated!

Nicole

i would start with toshiba website and research the driver section and select xp instead of vista. most computers have a program that installs and downloads the drivers for you again need to get from toshiba

Get this..we tried the Toshiba website and even called their tech support line...They are no longer supporting XP drivers. !!!!

They line we got was that now all of their new models are vista ready so they won't support older operating systems. I find this amazing since my same laptop was available a few months ago with XP. So they won't support the people who bought it loaded with XP. Nice!

Thanks for the great advice! When my brother gets home I'll have him check it out.

I'm great with databases...give me anything oracle and I am on it, but am scared to do anything to my laptop on my own...lol!
