convert m4v to WMV

I'm looking for a free way to convert a m4v file so that I can make it a DVD.

Do you already have DVD authoring software and just need file format conversion into something the DVD software can read?

Everyone Exaggerates

Always use WME to save as presentation quality (as much as possible) otherwise it strips too much away, IMO.

Out of curiosity:

Do you have the latest quicktime/itunes instsalled? I could have sworn Roxio would support virtually anything your computer does for importing, and the m4v mpeg4/ipod format would be supported if you have that software installed.
There may be some issue w/ the m4v file itself and the 'contents' of that file that is causing a problem though... Then again, Roxio8 may have also been rushed to market a little premature.

Try throwing this at it: http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/

It's another freeware converter. Maybe it can spit out a better finished product.
