Dude..got a Dell

Just ordered me up one today thru my IT guy at work
http://configure.us.dell.com/dellsto...rpd21g&x=4&y=8
God damn emachine died after 5 fine years of working flawlessly. Motherboard is dead. Too old and not worth fixing.
Anyhow, this is a killer deal with a 19" lcd! Granted it is no gaming machine but to be honest I don't even play games anymore. Basically use my computer for the internet and music and porn This should fit just fine
If your work has an IT department and you need a new computer. jump on this shit. 417 with tax. Free shipping too. Just gotta pick up a DVD burner for 30 bucks and I am set. FYI, thru the business account you can order with XP like I did and not that shit Vista.

No shit. Only 2 complete formats during that time. Actually was a good machine. A few years after they went public in the late 90's they made a okay machine. Got my 500 bucks out of it. Agree that I think the Dell may be a bit more quality

I have a question or two for you guys....

I have a piece of crap that was given to me for home right now. How does on go about giving this thing a "clean slate" so to speak. It is full of bullshit that people have loaded into it, and tends to run slow and generally have small random problems.

I have no fucking idea what I'm doing.

You might as well tell me to install a turn signal switch on it, cuz I have no idea what linux is or does.
