Riding withdrawls

Haven't been on the bike in 2.5 weeks, serious withdrawls are setting in! Hurry up putnam! Not sure if i'll be able to go another week and a half without riding....

I haven't converted my bike back to street duty yet since I've been bolting on a few upgrades and doing some maintenance. I should be done working on it tonight, but looking at the weather forcast it almost doesn't seem worth it to take the hour or two to convert it over now then convert it back in a week... I think I want a second bike

I think there is a possibility of a new gixxer 750 finding it's way into my garage next spring, then the kawi can be my track whip

Lucky!

I counted one time, my street plastics include 23 pieces, 23!!!! Track body work is 4. Additionally, swapping wheels on a kawi is an exercise in patience, as soon as you try to rush it, the damn wheel spacers start flying out in every direction

Last night I finished up my clipon install, adding a brembo brake fluid reservoir, adjusting the position of the bars and levers to my liking and torqing everything down. Bled the brakes and took it for a spin around the block, nice! Still need to do an oil change and clean up the chain but after checking the weather forcast it looks like theirs no point in converting back to street before next weekend so I guess I've got some time to get that work done. HURRY UP AUG 1st!!!

23 peices of bodywork is insane
for the 1k my street bodywork is 4 peices and 3 for the track set...
add in lights and the plate adn i have a whopping 7 peices for the street and a full swap over was down to about 20-30 mins depending on my motivation/concentration level but even that became a motivating factor in buying a track bike

I converted the 1098 to track plastics and since than I have like 30 pcs of plastic and other useless stuff laying under my stairs all nice wrapped and stored away. I was considering putting the street stuff back on yesterday, but than I kinda thought f* it, I wanna do one track day with it and see how I like it and than go from there...
And it is very nice not to have the need for converting the bike from street to track, back to street. Especially for me knowing once the bike starts tumbling down the track, that once I get home, I still can ride on the street without getting the bike fixed up.

I know your withdraw feelings, I don't know how many times I limped past the bikes with the cast on and tried to find a way to ride with the cast....

i'm actually enjoying this little mid-summer break. i've been way too stubborn and have been riding hurt... not really allowing myself to heal. a few weeks off the bike and i'm starting to feel much better. i've also hit the mental reset button. that's always refreshing, too.

I guess there's a few of us who needed the break to heal up. Hope the "reset" thing works for me as well.

Ha! feels like forever! Let's see, broke it on June 13th, so we are in the 7th week. If I'd had it checked out right away rather than believing it was a sprain for 4 weeks, It'd probably be near healed by now :

I next see the ortho Aug 4th. I hope to be back out at BHF Over Labor Day. Once the bone heals, we'll see about range of motion and strength and what it will take to get all that back.

I am sure the instruction is great but...

I don't want to pay $300 and drive all the way there and back. I'm only doing Autobahn and Blackhawk dates so I don't have to make long trips and stay over night.
