Dude, I probably wouldnt have a problem with someone I know using my trailer for blackhawk, autobahn, etc - But Road Atlanta in August in that heat, your just asking for a bill that you wont be able to pay if you cant even spring for a u-haul.

1. Distance - this isnt a hop skip and jump trip - hope the trailer you borrow is properly maintained

2. Heat - wheel bearings dont like dat shit

3. Heat - tires dont like dat shit

Just some food for thought - good luck.

Bio you gonna pull a big enclosed with that S60?

Just wondering if that would be a strain on the I5. I think the rating is high...3000lbs but it is still a relatively small car to pull a decent sized enclosed.

Looks like your vehicle has a six cylinder not the I5 that all volvos used to have. Anyways, your vehicle is rated for towing 3300lbs. With the weight of a trailer, bike, gear and family/friends, you will be coming very close to the max your car can handle. It could be a painful trip, expecially driving through the mountains. Look into a transmission cooler if you decide to throw a hitch on that thing.

Buttry rental on Ogden rents enclosed trailers, I think 5x8 and 6x10 or 6x12. I got one once and it was really nice, came setup with a wheel chock and tie down points. I'm not sure if they'd risk their equipment by letting you tow it with a volvo though.

I'd go uhaul, but seriously consider an open trailer. Easier to pull plus better gas mileage.

go to uhaul, rent a small open trailer, buy a set of tie downs, a canyon dancer, and a hitch for your car.
