Ouch. Sounds like he got on the gas while fully leaned over. Heal up!

It's from last year.

Not sure who it is, but that was a pretty bad line through that corner. He needs to be on the other side of the pool table.

Whats wrong with that line?

I didn't see a pool table in the video. I'd think they'd yellow flag that

Sounds like he peg'd out.

I crashed on the exit of that corner last year on cold tires. It was one of those doody doody dooooo, Hey, why am I sliding? Oh crap.....

From my experience there, you want to be on the other side of that patch of new pavement he clipped (he hit the bottom right, should have hit the top left). So, my under-experienced track riding opinion would be that he entered in the corner too early causing him to increase lean at the apex and then added throttle resulting in an unfortunate highside. After the crash, you see that it appears he may have been leading a congo line. If he were to have gone into the corner deeper (probably about 50 feet), he could have picked up some pace.

If you don't enjoy pool tables at the track, then I think you need to get with a coach.

his turn in was a touch early but otherwise fine, that c-shapes patch near the apex can be slippery, especially in the first couple sessions, and it looks like he had the rear tire on it when he started to pick up the throttle.

his line looked alright, there was a scraping sound before it slid, to me it looks like he dragged a peg which unloaded his rear

I think the coaches will always suggest you take the line you mentioned...going around the outside of that black patch...since it is a late apex turn. You can turn-in earlier, but you won't be able to get on the gas as soon as others taking the other line.

I was in that session and wondered what happened, you don't generally see a bike in the middle of the track like that. Sucks, glad they were OK. Crashing happens, apparently.

That was in the "I" group when they didn't separate them into 2 groups (I think) afternoon session I believe. The blue SV that passes just after the wreck is my buddy, he had a camera on his bike facing backwards so we only caught the aftermath.
