gauging interest - possible raffle

I got some new gear so it's time for me to get rid of some of my old stuff. I'd really like to give back to the riding community, the site, and help get newer riders on the track, so I think doing a small raffle might help break down the cost to some of the newer riders and help them obtain gear.

I was thinking about selling roughly fourty (40) $10 tickets with a portion of the proceeds going back into CLSB. I think this would be a low enough number of tickets to sell out pretty quickly so it doesn't go on for ever.

I would be raffling off a Joe Rocket GPX suit (size 48US), front and rear Lockhart Phillips stands, and a pair of gloves which were worn maybe twice (can't remember name and brand right now).

Anyways, is this something you guys would be interested in?

Great thought and rep sent for giving back to the board and the community.

If the raffle happens count me in for a ticket.

Everyone needs a healthy way to relax, mine Church, and two wheels, a stretch of winding road, and a pipe loud enough to give me headaches and make squirrels explode. (Fixed curtousey of PWRMAD)

Nothing is impossible the second we say ill try your already admiting you can be defeated, and the second you say i cant or its to hard youve already failed.

I dont own the site, but I would think that raffles with benefit to the entity are a no-no. I know I wanted to do something similar a few years back with new stuff and was shot down.

hmmmm, well maybe I'll just do a raffle and make a seperate donation on my own behalf (like I have in the past) that has absolutely nothing to do with the raffle.

Maybe you should move the server offshore and raffle someone...

The thought is nice, but I wouldn't buy a raffle ticket for used gear.

Put me down for a few tickets. If your suit smells like a sweaty Chewbakka I'm having it cleaned. Twice.
