Well Uncle Steve, thanks for setting this all up, you couldn't wish for a better track and more tracktime... I think all in all I spend about 4.5hrs on the track yesterday. And had a freaking blast!
Sorry for beeing THAT GUY....

Shelly thanks for taking the wheel on the way back!

Cool Post Barber & Jennings March 2011

Great trip, just woke up from a nap!!

Typical trip with this crew, everything went straight to the gutter

Trip was great, it was nice to break up that long drive and head to Barber first for Saturday. Beautiful weather!! Met Christi from Sportbike Track Girl and Gina who did the website Track was awesome, a handful of us did Saturday then Nick and Stefan showed up Saturday afternoon and did Sunday. Man how I missed Barber!

We headed to Jennings Sunday, got there and started setting up.

Jacks BBQ was GREAT

Mon & TUE ROCKED!! Couldn't ask for better weather the whole trip, little chilly at night but during the day it was high 70's with blue skies, think it got over 80 on Tuesday! We only had 2 groups and when with 20 minute sessions, then Tue afternoon opened it up.....sooooo TONS of track time!!!!

Thanks to Sean from Florida for towing me and the girls around, I had a blast with Marr and Dani. Dani, you were looking AWESOME, this is going to be YOUR year I think we all have LOTS of video of each other! Thanks to Kegger as well for lots of advice and showing me where you can pass

Just perfect, great way to start the track year.....many of us were testing our bikes, either new bikes, or bikes that had to get fixed....luckily all of them worked!!

Ashwin's parents showed up so that was awesome, Nelson was riding Ashwin's bike....got some great pics too!!! I know Ashwin was watching down on us!

So far I have 80gb's of pics and vid that I got from everyone so it's going to take me a while to go through them all, if there is anything specific you want shoot me a pm. I'll either try to email it or mail you a dvd

Great BBQ Chuck, shrimp was delicious and so was the sausage I gotta get some of that.

We hit the traditional Mexican joint we always go to, it' was yummy!!!!!!

Till next time chicken fukkers

This was, by far, the best two trackdays I've ever had. Great company, the trip would have been worth it even I didn't ride

As for the track, what a blast. It's nice to do some left turns! The layout is great, it's nice to break it up into the tight half and fast half. Also, blowing by gators at 100+ isn't something you can do at other tracks. My best acomplishment, after listening to all the fast guys at dinner (which there were a lot of), I was able to drop 6 seconds from Monday to Tuesday awesome day, and running open gave me more than enough track time.

Glad I could make this trip, can't wait for next year.

Yes, thanks Steve for putting this on, it was an absolute blast!

I got my most interesting session on video, little bit of Germany showing me how to pass in 13, a little bit of me trying it out a couple laps later and finally a big ass slide to end the session lol.

Special thanks to Steve and Tim for showing me around the track this weekend as well as helping me resolve my rear end issues, got the new equipment dialed in good now and no more sliding on corner exits

Well since my post was moved and created a new thread, I should write a bit more I guess...

Barber was awesome, perfect temps and perfect conditions for some fast runs. I did a lot of laps with grasshopper, and also following and getting passed by some of our local quick guys.
We also had some Pit-entertainment from some guy on a duc...
The second to last session on Sunday I had a guy with a gsxr 1000 ahead of me and he kept passing me on the straights, but I got back up on him going in every turn, after a few laps I started to pass him going in tight into the hair pin. After doing that 3 times he got a bit upset and kicked at me... nice! I was going to look for him on the last session to return the favor, but Grasshopper made me rethink the actions that would have most likely followed in that session.

When we got to Jennings everyone had already one or two sessions in, and I just wanted to get on track, seeing everyone having a blast out there. After setting things up I went out and started to run up some quick laps and after luch I started to have more and more slides, time to change the tires, with the quick session change, I had the rear on, but decided to stay with the old front... Well last lap of the session after the checked flag, the front end did not like to be where it was supposed to be... ok after some duct tape and a new front tire, things stated to look good again, I had a blast running with everyone!
The 1098 ran pretty well and I felt pretty cool when I had o work the bike, as it was spinning up almost everywhere.

Well now I have a new work-list to do before I get back on a track:
on the "death-trap" 600 I have to put the brembo rotors from the garage on the bike, replace the sub frame, look for some new clutch plates and look why someone with baby hands can't pull the brake.
the 1098 needs the shock rebuild and possible re-valved, and the bazzaz needs to be made working.

All in all a very good time. I did not take any pic or vid the whole time, and just did a lit of data-analysing last night...

Thanks everyone that made this trip possible and that was down there! Awesome time!

Shelly let me know when you have some pics up. I think there should be some cool pics that grasshoppers lady took in T1.

I am glad everyone had a blast. It feels good knowing that everyone had enough quality tracktime and was wiped out at the end of the 2 days at Jennings. I had a blast BBQing with everyone (thanks for ur meat Chuck!!! LOL) and also at the Mexican joint on Monday night. Design-Engine it was finally good to meet you as I have actually talked to you a coupel fo times at Kevins Saftey First shop. I hope you sign up for the rookies race at Jennings in the begining of April as you will clean up easily.
Good to see some of the Florida crew including JasunOne, thanks for making the stickers for the trailer and for tech. I did not even ask for them and he came through in a pinch.

If I get enough people interested I will do another one next year.

I will write more later as I am catchin up at work

What a GREAT weekend! I'm really sore from all the track time, it was like 3 days wrapped into 2!

I also trashed a new set of tires! I even flipped both of them after Monday. (thanks to Bobby)

If you ride like there's no tomorrow, today will be a BLAST!
