Leathers Repair

Anyone have a recommendation for some stitching repair on leathers?

I'm in Northbrook, and was referred to Scot Cleaners on Waukegan just south of Glenview Rd., but before dropping them off thought I'd ask you folk.

Thanks

- Dan

Alexa, from http://www.spyderleatherworks.com/ is who most of us bring their leathers to. Give her a call!

There is this place up in Wisconsin right outside of Milwaukee that I heard was good. Does anyone have any information on it?

you can ship it too, or pack it in a backpack and make a nice ride to milwaukee.
she also comes to CCS events at blackhawk or you can bring it to other BHF events. there are plenty of people from milwaukee who would bring it to her.

or, you can just drop it off somewhere else and hope that the work done on it is a quality work.

Just be sure they know what they are doing. You don't want to get your nice suit with double hidden stitching back with single stitches that are exposed.

This isn't a leather jacket you're going to wear around town. It's going to hopefully save your butt! Take the time to find someone with a good reputation and that knows how to do this right.

Like Alexa. If you have to, drive up, get fitted and have her ship it.

I guess everyone around here likes Alexa...but at $80/hour for my used leathers with some cosmetic issues, if I can't find time to take a ride up to her, I'll have someone local do it. Noted in the event of future need - she's now in my 'favorites' under 'moto.'
