New CCS class: Ultralight Thunderbike!

"Ultralight ThunderBike is basically a SuperSport 250s class for bikes such as the Ninja and Honda 250, which aren't as competitive in other classes." said Kevin Elliott, owner of the Championship Cup Series. "Single & Twin cylinder liquid-cooled engines up to 250cc as well as Twin Cylinder air-cooled 350cc machines qualify for this class. Although some restrictions apply, bikes must be completely stock OEM for the most part and run street tires."

ERZ you said you would get on!

badass looking 250R...

Has anyone found pictures of the Honda CBR250R with race plastics?

sweeet

what is their definition of a street tire though
stock racing would be cool, helps to keep things in check cost wise

I haven't dug into the specifics rules online, but I'm sure it just means DOT - non-slicks.

This would be a cool class. Next season I want to buy a track only bike and would get one of these suckers.

Yeah man I was looking into this. I just wish you could get clip-ons that are lower and bodywork that would accomodate it. I think the clip-ons sit too high.

I'm sure if they could have they would have made one already. It's probably just a limitation of the overall dimensions of the bike. Look they already have one in your track colors...

Sling some dirt on it and curse at it a little and it's a perfect match for ENutz bike

Here in lies the main problem.....He bins everything he rides, have you not noticed that.

Everyone needs a healthy way to relax, mine Church, and two wheels, a stretch of winding road, and a pipe loud enough to give me headaches and make squirrels explode. (Fixed curtousey of PWRMAD)

Nothing is impossible the second we say ill try your already admiting you can be defeated, and the second you say i cant or its to hard youve already failed.

and general rule of thumb for ccs rules is that if they *don't* say that you can't do something, it means that you can.

(generally the opposite is true of the wera rulebook, they tell you what is allowed, and everything else is not.)

Dude we are Asian. That means we are only 1 or 2 eggrolls shy of 100lbs at all times.

The tires on a bike/class like this would last a long time! I'd seriously think about buying one this offseason.

Impossible to look fly on one of these. So you gotta be fast as fuck which is also impossible on this slug of a bike. So basically ultralight thunder bike is ultra fucking gay.
