For some reason I don't like him. Maybe I'm just jealous he's a couple years older then me and riding a GP bike. I read he was a prick, though, so that's a reason I guess.

bah Nicky is one of the nicest racers in the paddock... you must have him confused with someone else. Also lookie what the Doctor has to say about him:

from motogp.com:
Valentino Rossi (1st): ??This morning was unbelievable! I was lucky to control the bike. It was a big highside but it was possible not to crash. I have to thank someone! Today we worked very well on the bike in a short time. It is better now but we have things to fix for tomorrow. The lap time is already good so we hope for good weather tomorrow. Nicky is growing up very fast this year ? I think from now on I would like to stay in front of him. Nicky Hayden (2nd): ?I?m feeling really comfortable here. We?ve hardly made changes to the bike and everything feels real good. I?ve tested here before but that was a while ago. The big thing out there was the wind ? it was really gusty out there ? but I?m looking forward to building on this tomorrow.?

No way, I went to a race when he was still AMA and was about to get in line to have him autograph a jacket of mine but he was on his way to his bike in the pits, so I turned around to leave and he grabbed my shoulder and asked for the pen and jacket so he could sign it for me: Now that's cool

Fair enough guys, I'll retract my statement. That story with the jacket is pretty cool.

Well.... the kid took his first front row start in QP2. Rossi in his interview after QP1 said this about Nicky....

"Nicky is growing up very fast this year I think from now on I would like to stay in front of him.

You know you're the real deal when the champ gives you some respect.

Also mentioned was that Edwards is likely to join Honda next season... possibly to replace Rossi. Rossi is expected to go to Yamha for next season. I guess he feels it's too easy on a Honda... and they are offereing more cash. How awesome would it be to have Edwards and Hayden as teamates.

Over at CEracing.com they seem pretty sure Colin is going to the Gresini Honda team, something about Repsol not wanting 2 American riders or something like that. Somebody even reported that he already has his Honda leathers and is going to start practicing with the RCV next week

I read somewhere that you can't have 2 riders from the same country on the same team, that's why Repsol can't have Colin & Nicky on the same team. It's a Moto GP rule.

It really shouldn't matter where the riders are from. Kind of a dumb rule IMO.

There is no such rule. Look at suzuki, hopper&krjr.

IMO its more of a marketing thing for the Repsol sponsor to have riders who have broad appeal in europe.

GO NICKY!

You know what no one is picking up on? Look what Collin is doing on the Aprilia. That's impressive! Just wait till he is back riding Big Red.

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

Yea i saw that. I'm wondering if he crashed his first bike on purpose because the 2nd one isn't giving him the same chatter problems that have plagued him all year
