Mid Ohio doesn't have an agreement or contract with any orgs as far as I know. They put on their own track days. I'm thinking about doing just one day. The week day ones sound good.

That August 29th one sounds good to me. Otherwise one of the Mondays in September.

Nick, thinking about doing the 29th as discussed, then heading home to rest for a couple of days then heading out to BHF for the NESBA chili cookoff......looks like Kieth is in for that plan too. I got a couple of issues like not having a bike right now, but that should be all taken care of soon!

There's always AMA Vintage Days on July 22, 23 & 24 at Mid Ohio...You could try your hand at vintage racing again (not AHRMA...run under AMA supplemental rules) and there's a swap that you could fit about 30 of the swaps that were at RA into, a club corral with at least a dozen marque clubs involved plus vintage MX, Hare Scrambles, trials and flat track (across town at Ashland) and various other activities all dedicated to vintage bikes and benefitting the AMA Hall of Fame.
All the race rules and entry info is available at: www.Americanmotorcyclist.com

The "Turdle" would fit in a class and likely be a bit more competitive!

"Dirt is for racing on...Asphalt is for getting there" OR "Flat trackers go in deeper and come out harder... OR (With apologies to General MaCarthur) "Old motorcycle racers never die, they just slip off the groove and fade into the dust!

If you want to anger a conservative, tell him a lie. To anger a liberal all one must do is tell the truth!

^ what he said. the classes and rules for road racing are similar to AHRMA, the road racing is handled by WERA. it's the biggest event that Mid-Ohio hosts all year. it's huge, and it's awesome.

otherwise, i really want to get back to Mid-Ohio to ride someday. hopefully the Road Race Grand Championships goes back there soon. i'd be trying to get X to race with me at VMD, but we're going to BHF for CCS instead this year.

so glad i was able to go last year. meeting Malcolm Smith and watching him ride was a huge lifetime highlight.
