+1

There are still the bigger issues of T2 and T4-5 that will be complained about for a long time to come.

I was a little late to experience the pay showers that threatened to electrocute you, but did experience the era of the tiny bug infested bathroom with the moldly concrete block showers. The vacuum created by the hot water would make the grody shower curtain slowly force you closer to the grody shower wall. yuck. That was the same era of the guys having to all pee in a common trough, yes?

I started going out to BHF in 2003/04 with my son. The place was very much depressed relative to today and no improvements were planned.
Compared to then, it is a huge improvement. The nice thing is, every year they manage to fix something else. Bringing that facility up to par from where it was is a major investment by the owners. I can only applaud them for taking on a "continuous improvement" focus. Rome was not built in a day, nor will the fixes happen over night. Yet they have maintained a move to keep up the improvements even in a weak economy. Good on them I say!

I got a feeling that the more of us that congratulate them on the improvements, the more incentive they may have to continue. I really like this track and would hate to see the changes come to a halt.
I've read so many complaints that don't consider the improvements, it almost makes me sick. The owner cares! The people that work there care. We need to be a collective group and honor them for the efforts to improve our track experience and our safety. I know most of the people there, they want us to be safe and enjoy.

+1. Sometimes it feels like road racers are turning into whiney nascar racers. And it seems most the complaints are from people who've only raced a few years. The track is MUCH safer than it was when I started racing bikes in 99.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Holy crap, I had ALMOST forgotten about that until you said it. It's good to see BHF making improvements and making an effort to provide its customers with a better experience.

The only thing I've ever used worse than a trough is pictured below. Imagine trying to do this in the dark by moonlight.
