cr's some just don't have people skills

Now that some track orgs have come an gone maybe some lousey cr's will do the same . I love going out to the track and having fun but over the years have run into some cr's that were assholes just to be blunt I never said a whole lot because these idiots would try to fail your bike at tech or what have you, mean
while there bikes look like they could barely get around one lap.On the other hand there were some real dynamite cr's that would just give great imformation.
I really think it is an honor to cr and if someone is doing this he or she should put there best effort forward considering they are getting free tracktime . This possitive attitude will bring more and more people to the track and eventually it will drizzle down to everybody being able to ride for less .So hopefully just because someone can turn a lap at a descent time and there a dickhead they
shouldn't be on staff the staff at stt seemed possitive a few years ago but now there are some orgs that either closed or have limited days some of there staff might be bringing in negativety to the 2012 season . Hopefully stt and all the orgs out there realize the newbie ,intermediate and advanced rider all want the same thing fun day staying up on two wheels and a possitive outlook to come back . God Bless all the riders for the 2012 season fast or slow were all out there to have fun .

Dude just spit it out. Or better yet what ever org tell there boss. But let me tell ya. Track day or not. Don't be a pussy. Pussys knit over the weekends instead or pushing there limits.

Also. Free track time or not. You in advanced? You ever cr? Try riding 2 times the amount you usually do then make it mandatory you push yourself more.

Shit. I gave oral sex to a few female cr's just to show my thank you to them and never asked for a reach around.

Did something happen at Road America on Friday?

I'm sorry to hear that, as I know everyone who was working that day, and they're all good peeps. I have no idea what happened, but Nick takes this stuff seriously, and if you have an issue with a staff member, especially if it's happened more than once, please bring it up with him at the event so that he can look into it and fix it. It's a lot harder to do that after the fact, but you can still email him or discuss it.

You should talk to whoever is running the event, the day of the event with your specific problems.

Regardless of the org, the director wants to hear about your experience, good or bad.

They cant fix the problem if they dont know what it is and coming onto a public forum with generalities doesnt help anyone.

While at a track day, you are a customer, and believe it or not, all orgs want to satisfy their customers. Send a private correspondence to whoever was running the event so they know. you will probably get a better result if you communicate

I am not clear as to what you are trying to say.
It seems like you feel like you were "wronged" by a CR?
Was it a coach from STT?
What exactly was the problem?

Just a different point of view.
At STT, the "Coaches" (not CRs) are all 100% volunteers.
One of the perks is track time, however many times it is difficult to get out on the track when you are helping others.
At RA on Friday, I needed to get some racing laps it...
Instead, I ended working with people every session... giving up the time I had set aside for myself.
The free track time, that I could not use... also cost me a set of tires and about 10 gallons of gas.

Next note-
CRs and Coaches are not picked based of off speed.
While it may seem the "Staff" seem to be fast.
It is knowledge they bring, that make them staff.
It is applying that knowledge, that makes them fast.

Sure, every Org. ends up with a bad CR or Coach.
If there is a problem, you really should voice your opinion to someone that matters.
The randomness of this thread, offers nothing and cannot fix anything.

Plus time, transportation, hotel, wear and tear ..... It's a big commitment to get that "free" track time.

Also..... CR's get the great responsibility of being the bearer of bad news.

What if you are dangerous, slow, inept, unruly, in the wrong group ..... or just acting like an asshole ?

Great .... it's the CR who gets to explain that to you and "ruin your day".

Trust me ... most of us don't look forward to those conversations yet, to do the job well you have to have them.

Almost all the CR's I have worked / ridden with and / or have been coached by are great peeps.

You may well have encountered someone with an issue .... but to the question above ..... tell us more about the story ..... what was going on ?

smart ass is everywhere not just at the track

This was old anyhow haven't been on the track for a year or 2 ,I was merely saying a small amount of cr's think the are cops and try to bust balls for know reason . I volunter as a coach in football and boxing in chicago and I never would be an ass to some of the people I use to train along with spar with I guess I just like to give respect to people ,but there are a lot of young minded people that just weren't raised right so it is good to know who would throw darts at you so have a good day and yes I would be thrown out of the track if I decieded to lose my cool just by the reaction I got from you'll

lol, if that was 2 years ago come on back out...lots of new CR's with both org's that are around.

But as with anything you are never going to please everyone all of the time. There will always be "that guy" at the track and the volunteer CR's will always have to do their job But as other people have said, say something to someone the day of if you have an issue, then it can be addressed that same day! Don't let 1 or 2 CR's ruin it for you...hell I would've stopped track a long time ago if I did that.

2 years is a little late. You need to share these items with the event staff. If they aren't aware there are staff issues, they can not be corrected.

I've never met anyone that has tried to fail someone in tech at a trackday. If something is brought up during tech it's either from experience or it's a rule for participating in the event. Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy yourself. Come out and try again. Don't sweat the little stuff. It's not always easy being staff. There is a LOT that goes on behind the scenes to keep events running. It's not all sunny warm free track time and all these fabulous perks. I've met a few people that after being given the opportunity to coach, have elected to just continue to participate as a member. It was a lot more work and expectation then they assumed.
