Not a bad deal. Shock done, forks done, bodywork done, rear sets, clip-ons. Extras. Not bad at all.

I don't think the RC is a great track bike, but the Super Twins class isn't a bad place to start racing.

I've got an extra motor too if that one turns out to be junk.

The exhaust is odd. Akro doesn't make a single-sided exhaust. He must have modified the lower pipes. Not sure the implications of power, single pipe is suppose to be better for midrange. But i wonder if it's tuned after all the mods. I'd ask if it has a Power Commander.

If you're interested I might be able to find someone in CA to go look at it.

I know Jaridine (sP) made a single single sided exhaust but not Akrapovic?

Right. Akrapovic did make the actual HRC exhaust, went under the rear tail and exited the other side. But that's like $8K.

Thorsten I believe had instructions to modify Akrapovic lower pipes to make a single-sided exhaust. I just wonder if it was done and then the engine was tuned for the change. Less weight, less cost, but less performance?

With all the other work and spares, I would hope than it would be Dyno Tuned... But you do have a point.

Yeah Jim, the 600rr is a better track bike. Not necessarily a better class to race though.

Yeah, I agree. It's been the consensus that the single exhaust on the RC usually yeilds less max horsepower, but if he had a reason to do it, like get more mid or do something that worked with his engine mods, then great.

But as this guy has probably found. The RC takes a lot of $$$ to make competitive. And that's probably why he's giving up and getting something else.

That just means you need a bigger garage. Worked for us!

Of course even with the bigger garage I can already foresee a need for a shed in the back yard too.

Funny you say that, we have been shopping for a larger house, just haven't found one yet.

P.S. I have the shed now. It helped but found more stuff to fill the garage.

I was once married... And there was NO question who wore the pants. Luckily, in the divorce agreement I was given my pants back.
