How the f*ck can this be right

I will not name any name of orgs here but someone please explain to me how an org can charge $20 more for a trackday at Blackhawk farms which is not even considered a premier track than a different org having an event at a one of the premier track in the US, Road America?????

Both days are smack dab in the middle of the week during the month of June.

Road America cost a whole hell of alot more to rent out that BHF and the insurance is a ton more.

Bingo, same way a gas station can charge $10 for a bag of no-name charcoal when you can get a bag of Kingsford for $6 at Home Depot.

I think market dictates the price, and the advertised price at that other org you speak of, isnt really the price you MUST pay to ride.

They make it pretty apparent that you can ride for cheaper than the website pricing if you go to one of the retail partners to order the day.
VERY few entries actually come from the org website.

Its strange though, for STT on the on Tuesday the 4th, its $175, but on Monday the 3rd its $255.....at the same track with the same org is 80 dollars more......weird.

Obviously they worked some kind of deal off of "regular" track rental rates because there was a dead day in the schedule or something. The track is expensive to rent, but the owner of the track probably realized that some revenue is better than no revenue and cut STT a deal......

Good thing it doesn't cost $20 more in fuel and time to get from Chicago to RA than Blackhawk.

Mondays are not a cheap to have a trackday as it is on a Tues/wed/thurs. Check the costs on renting any track and you will see that.

its amazing at how people can be so fuckin cheap - they will piss and moan about $20 fuckin dollars but eat out 4x per week at $30+ per meal, spend $60+ everytime they go to the bar which can be 4x per week, buy over priced fuckin marchi sumo wheels they really dont need, fill up their fuckin gas guzzling 1 gallon per mile afrosuv and then come on here and fuckin complain about $20 extra for a trackday! WTF!

I can answer - straight up supply and demand. The Monday is VERY popular... but a lot of people only book one day, and then bail. We discounted Tuesday to try to get them to stay. I'm assuming we get a bit of a break on the track for Tuesday, that's allowing us to do that as well... but I don't really know - that's above my pay-grade - I don't know what the deal with the track is.

Makes perfect sense, trying to get them to stay and cutting a deal with the track for "some" revenue like I said. I hope the $80 bucks is enough with the amount of riders that you lose that just cant stay on Tuesday due to work family etc. Trackdays on weekdays are brutal for some people....hopefully the litmus test pans out for you guys!
