You could have knocked me over with a feather. Everybody else at the table figured it out before I did, too.

It was certainly the last thing I was expecting... I mean, John and I just go to the track and have a good time. We've met the coolest people there and it's a sort of extended family.

I just wish John had been there too... because if not for him, I'd still be roaming around on my Harley. He was quite surprised and I think very pleased.

And I'm still blushing.

It couldn't happen to a nicer person.

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

Out of all the CCS racers in the Midwest and Great Lakes regions Kim won the Best Sportsmanship award for 2003. I think Rick Breur said it best, that out of all of his first-place trophies and plaques he has won during his carreer, his Sportsmanship award probably means most.

The award means that not only are you a competitor but that you are recognized by your peers as a competitor with heart, determination, fair play, and an attitude far above the rest. Kim couldn't deserve it more. Her determination, heart, effort, helping attitude is unrivaled in the paddock. Beleive me, given the same situation, hundreds of other racers would have given up, and have, but Kim somehow continues on. If you can't tell, I admire her determination and competitive spirit. Not only is she out there doing it where many others are just sitting on the couch thinking about it, me included, she's out there doing well.

Yes, she'd kick your ass on the track, show you what it means to be passed by a girl but back in the paddock she'd be the first to offer advice or help fix your bike.
