Yes, I crashed too!

Sunday @ BHF I went down in turn 1, early in the day. Luckily, me and the bike came out of it in SUPRISINGLY good shape.

I was spending all my focus and attention on passing someone at the end of the straight, I completely lost track of what I was supposed to be doing (turning). The positive here is, I know what I did wrong and can learn from this. Though we have to be courteous and respectful of the other riders, you can never lose focus on where you are on the track!

One more thing, thanks to all for the help and support...

Kevin - - thanks for the gasoline loan, without it I never would have crashed!

Jim - - thanks for helping me get my head back on straight (no jokes).

Jack - - thanks for sharing your experiences with me...that went a long way in getting my thoughts sorted.

Allen & Dave - - thanks for helping me get the bike back in shape for re-teching.

Though this may sound a little sappy. I do believe it.....
This Motorcyle thing is incredibly fun, but it's the people associated with it, that make the experience complete.

Thanks again!

I have nothing but respect for someone who looks at what happened and learns something from it. Obviously you are aware of what you are doing, what went wrong and how to work on it next time. That is a LEARNING experience and a very good thing!

It's funny you mention that because that session was my first full session in the I-Group. t may have been my fastest of the day. If I hadn't been taking it easy on the brakes all afternoon, I mgith have crashed in 7 or 1. I don't hink I'm going to practice late braking much more until I get a trackbike. It's too easy to make a mistake and "pull a Jeff"

its just a good thing that you and the bike were ok. Even better that you were able to get back out there with your head on straight.
