Clsb Ladies Look Here!

Rick Breuer and the gang at Learning Curves are at it again! Their "Ladies Day" at Blackhawk was such a success that they're doing it TWICE in 2004!

Click HERE for details. Dates are Monday, July 19 and Monday, August 23.

It's a full-day event. Class size will be limited to 15-20 riders. ALL women riders are welcome (cruisers too!).

My wife is considering doing this. They mention street riding. Is this a high performance school or a MSF type thing. She is a good rider but has never tried riding in a track setting. I asked if she wanted to do the CLSB day(s) but she says she would be more confortable in an all women setting. Has anyone done this school or should I e-mail them for info?

My wife thinks we're a bunch of Top Gun wannabes with our call signs, so for future reference, I'm Roger

It's not "high-performance" like a racing school. I watched them last year and there was a lot of 'street-survival' drills and instruction in basic technique. Many of the women there had no on-track experience.

I think your wife would really enjoy this.

Bluebusa, its supposed to be a course to get women more comfortable with their bikes. It'll break down all the parts of a turn, handling, that sort of stuff.

I'm going to sign my girlfriend up for it since its at BHF on the same day as the CLSB track day. She has zero experience on a bike except for taking the MSF course. Should be fun.

I e-mailed the dude and he said the ladies need leathers, gloves, boots, same stuff we wear on the track. Also, their bikes need to be prepped like ours with safety wiring and tape.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

I started another thread on women at track days but this may not be what she is looking for. She is a pretty good rider on the street but has the common sense to not push it there (unlike me ) I was hoping the class would be more of a de-tuned track school.

Thanks for the info. I'll let her read this.

Hey Chills... the CLSB Blackhawk days are May 24 and July 12. Are you thinking of the L-P Sportrider or VisionSports days?
