running bike naked...

anything i need to be aware of in order to run my bike naked? ie. no fairings.

do I need to relocate the coolant overflow, or can i just leave it on the side in the stock position?

You might want to cover it with a fig leaf and get a personalized plate STREAKIN As long as your bike doesn't have a third nipple, I think you should be fine riding it naked.

I think "superfluous third nipple" is redundant.

For what?

The super powers?

The third nipple or the naked bike?

If you run nekkid, where are you giong to put the EMR stickers??

...oh, you asked for helpful information. Nevermind.

EMR!

Actually, a guy pitted by us had a plastic-eating getoff at BHF. He finished the afternoon sessions without lowers/mids - suggesting that he passed tech just fine. As long as you're running water wetter I don't see an issue for trackdays.

I ran mine half-naked (no lowers) at road america last year after my slide out of the bend. Zip tied up a few of the wire harnessy things is the only thing I did.

My coolant res. is in the tail, though so that wasn't remotely an issue.

SV's go naked all the time, but then again their coolant reservior is behind the frame. I don't think you will have a problem.

CCS will not let you run a bike without an adequete oil retaining pan below the motor

IE: Belly Pan

I've seen Turkey Baster Aluminum pans used.

But why would you want to listen to me Chris?
