MOTO GP To the US?!?

Whats the deal with this whole Idea?

I've heard rumors about them may be coming to Barber or Laguna.

If so, when, where?

I'm there for sure no matter what part of the US they come to.

They've spoken about that for years(at least about Laguna and Road America), but typically our tracks aren't considered safe enough.

In the June version of Road Racer X it says that not one American track is MotoGP worthy. Kinda depressing...

Yeah, Barber is too short, Laguna Seca isn't safe enough, RA doesn't have the necessary support facilities.... This sucks. We're the richest nation in the world but we don't have 1 worthy MotoGP track. So sad.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

So what is the easiest of the 3 to fix? Can Laguana be made safer or Barber longer or have RA build the facilities that are needed? I really would love to see a MotoGP race, but taking a trip to Europe is a little more involved than driving to RA. Has anyone made a trip to Europe or anywhere just to see a race? If so, what was it like? Was it a hard to coordinate or expensive? I toyed with the idea of going to see a race, but never really looked into it.

Laguna is now out period thanks to the people who built homes NEXT to the trck property. Serius noise rules at Laguna now. MotoGP bikes are way too loud.

Barber was built to FIM specs, but as per FIM, they like to change their rules for new tracks (but yet tracks that they do race on dont meet some of their new rules).

Road America used to hold 500GP races as recently as 1995.ain issue there was safety. The kink was the biggie.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Spain has 6, lol. I say, build a MotoGP track in New Mexico! It's brilliant!
