Blackhawk Farms new mascot

Coming around turn 7 into the front stretch yesterday I see something in the left-hand side of the track. It's a friggen turtle crossing the road!!!! He snuck outta the brush and was heading for the hot pit lane....

4 laps later he's finally almost to the other side

Somebody from Motovid should have that on camera....

I've seen a turtle at BHF, also. He was between T6a and the kink. After 3 laps he had finally crossed the track. I don't think he was going for speed.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Turtles, wild turkeys (particularly around the exit of T2), deer (T7), coyotes (well, until Mike went on a shooting spree)... cats (don't look behind the tirewall at the T1 exit if you're squeamish)... I rescued a raccoon from a trash barrel at the T5 corner station last month... yep, there's tons of critterlife there.

LOL, you must have been near Ken (black/silver F4i) as he remarked about the turtle too.

Life has no instruction manual. Parts and labor can be impossible to find. Many go down the road with parts that are in need of service. A breakdown is eventual.

That damn turtle has been there for at least 6 years! I remember seeing him back in '98!

And Road America has plenty of deer!

Wildlife is an interesting twist on this sport of racing!
