ATTENTION RACERS and RACE FANS

18th Annual Wegman Benefit Fund Auction
Saturday September 18, 2004
Blackhawk Farms Raceway 15538 Prairie Rd. So. Beloit, IL
http://www.blackhawkfarms.com

www.wegmanfund.org

This event is held each year to raise money for seriously injured motorcycle roadracers who have been injured during competition. Proceeds from the auction contribute to the Fund, and are used to pay medical and related expenses not covered by a prospective recipient's insurance. Merchandise donated to, or purchased via the Auction are tax deductable, as The Wegman Benefit Fund is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), tax deductible organization.

The Wegman Benefit Fund is currently seeking donations for sale through the Auction. Donations include products or services which would be focused toward the motorcycle community, as the Auction attendees are generally focused on the sport of Superbike racing. Donations have included helmets, gloves, motorcycle attire, motorcycle parts and accessories, and many products not so connected with motorcycles. Children's bicycles, food, household tools; coupons for services including travel, painting, and leather repair.

Please contact Gordon Lunde at 414-321-2338 or [email protected] for more information.

The Wegman auction is held in conjunction with the Championship Cup Series (CCS) motorcycle roadraces. A full schedule of CCS races will be run Saturday and Sunday. For more race information please contact CCS at 817-332-4822 or [email protected]. http://www.ccsracing.com/

The Auction begins at approximately 7 p.m. Saturday evening, at the conclusion of the days racing activities.

Participants and spectators can purchase tickets for dinner, served prior to the Auction. This year's dinner will include the FIRST ANNUAL WEGMAN CHILI COOKOFF!!! Along with the new Chili Cookoff, other food will be available, such as brats, burgers, and other side dishes. In 2003, The Auction raised over$18,000, in 2002: $16,000, and in 2001: $14,000.

Whoa, Chili Cookoff! The competition spills out to off the track. I better get practicing if I want to beat Kimmy on that one!

I will be there if I don't have drill. Right now, I'm not sure if I do or not that weekend.

I'm a race fan!!!!

Do you know if one can donate their TIME in some ways to this event? I don't think I have any actual items...and I'll be at the races anyway.

Make a crock of chili for the cookoff! Or just come to the auction and bid on stuff!

Have you been through the cornerworking training yet? If so, you could always work a day and donate the $50

It looks like they are still gathering items, looking for donations. Odds are, there will be a couple helmets, gloves, maybe a set of tires. Last year there was a great Colin Edwards lithograph and a day at Team-Visionsports. Also was an auction for umbrella girl. Sounds good, but said umbrella girl was SuperDave

I went last year and it was a great time. I found out I can race that weekend, so I'll be there with the normal races, maybe one more.

Yeah... that bikini was the best $10 I ever spent - auction brought in something like $350... although I had to avert my eyes when he started dancing... Dave had waaaay too much fun with that!
