1.19.7 is my best time!

I'm a consistent 1.22

I would be faster if I got out there more than 2 or 3 times a year.

Just lowered my time this weekend from 1:25 to 1:22. Had the Motovid guys follow and I know where I should be able to pick up time for next year. Stay on the gas in turn two and the kink before seven for sure.

You clowns sure are getting quick this year. Seems like there's been some really dramatic time drops with some of you. Nice!

Personally I think they just tweak the timing beacon at NESBA days toward the end of the season to get you all to sign up again for next year...

I found running a gear higher (3rd rather than 2nd) allowed me a lot me to concentrate on my lines and braking points.

As for large time drops, in six days at BHF this year I've dropped probably 12 seconds from my best laps ~ 1:20.54. Of course, I've also crashed twice, so my methods probably don't suit everyone!

I'll post up after my next race. I've only raced BHF once on a dry day this year and it was right after a big crash, so I wasn't riding up too speed.

I turned my lap timer on for like 2 laps and I was doing a consistant... 1:52 *cry* haha I'm so slow... but yeah that's what being a newbie is all about right? But yeah, I rode just like how butchf said he rode, it's definately a good method for us newbs.

And I dunno why but I had a hell of a hard time learning this track compared to putnam park, maybe just cuz I kept on getting scared by the difference in runoff between the two tracks. Carol led me for pretty much an entire session before I got some decent lines down. Thanks!

I did a 1:27xx the last NESBA day. But every other lap in running a consistant 1:29xx. I'm hoping to get down to 1:25xx on the CLSB day coming up.

This year my best has been a 1:18.20 That is on a stock SV with Just a pipe and suspension work. Since I will only be there one more time this year for the CLSB trackday I can't see myslef breaking that.

I must get a lap timer!

I think it was 1:27:xx couple times last weekend. Consistently 1:28-1:29. I was trying to get past a guy on a 900 Ducati in Supertwins. Hit 1:27s and felt held up. I took some time off by changing my line through T1, mainly due to me getting beat on the inside on the white flag lap the race weekend there prior.
And dicing with Leon from PrivateTrackTime shaved a couple seconds off my lap times, which is pretty good considering it was three 8-lap races.

First and only time out ever w/ the Katana 750 (found out it had screwed up carbs) and turned a 1:42 giving it everything it could take, especially the rear tire.......spun it up twice in T1.

Come the 27th, the Mille should squeak out a waaay better time.

My bike is faster then I'm willing to go, so you could set my bike up to do 10's but that does not mean that the rider is ready (myself).

I improved on my personal best a couple of times this weekend. I was aiming for the 1:20's. I had a Motovid done, and Steve gave me some advice. This was basically, let go of the brake lever! Especially before 1, 3, 6, and 7. I gave it a try, and got a 1:20.63. When I started the year, my best was 1:24.82.

The average times for my best 20 laps this weekend was 1:21.96. I started the year at 1:25.29. I always take use that number to compare my lap times, instead of my single best. I figure that the improvement in what I can do consistantly is the best measure.

Next year, my short term goal is to break into the teens.

Consistent in the 19's this year with flashes of brilliance into the 18's. Outright best was an 18.20 this past weekend.

Just checked my laptimer for previous BHF times and found this interesting. Seems like the more you work at it, your confidence grows, and the faster you become:

4/03 - 1:27.58
6/03 - 1:25.38
8/03 - 1:21.19
9/03 - 1:19:96
