Here's and Idea for Next Monday (CLSB BHF Day)

Tell me what you guys think.
Jim (omni) and I were talking. What would you guys/gals say to a mock race sometime on monday? Now the winner can have bragging rights all winter long!!

Everyone would draw for grid spots.

Jim and I were tossing around the possibility of running a two moto format similar to motocross. You take both finishes to come up with your overall. So now no one can complain about "I got a bad start"

Let me know what you think

i am holding a rider education day.

Dan, I think that is a great idea, but I'm with Ken on this one. That's not really the purpose of the CLSB days...It just brings a different element to the track.

Good idea though.

And I know some people don't wanna get beat by a GIRL!

I think Dan meant this for the A group only....I would do it...but it does bring in an added element of risk to the CLSB day.

CLSB rented the track out to allow its members to experience tracktime in a friendly and educational environment. A mock race, even if just for fun, might corrupt that ideal.

Yes...unfortunately for that reason you really can't do it... and safety wise I think we'd have someone crash bad and we'd all regret the idea.

I think sometimes we all wish it was 1904, not 2004 when it comes to racing, scrwing around on stuff and having fun.

How you found us: My psychic advisor told me about it

1) It would just be for the "A" group - last session or two of the day.
2) We wouldn't have to call it a "Race" - we'd just have everyone start the session from a grid.
3) You guys all like to talk shit to one another... this will be the end-all be-all... one person is KING for the winter
4) Dan and I would NOT participate - we would simply be grid marshals/referees/scorers. We realize that having us out there wouldn't be fair to a lot of you.

Not yet. Didn't quite get enough expert points in time to get my AMA for Daytona next year. I'll have to start off the '05 season running FUSA/WERA to get my points, and will pick up the AMA series mid season - hopefully by RA.

While I prefer heads up racing, we could do it autocross style. we each get 3 laps, fastest lap counts.
