If I Can't Sell My Bike...

Worst case scenario here, I'm stuck with my bike...

Would I be crazy to take it to some track day educational events?

What type of mods would you all recommend if I was going to try this?

I don't want to ruin the body work... would a "stunter" roll cage be too much?

I wouldn't if your still going to be trying to sell it. Just in case you f*ck it up.

If you're just doing track days, you don't need bodywork.

I think hes asking if the stunt cages will ruin ground clearance or throw off bike geometrey too much for a track day. I don't know the answer. Gixxernick has a stunt cage on his F4i but i dont think hes ever done twisties or anything with that bike. He may know better. Not sure if they make one for the VFR either though.

True... that was kind of what I was asking...

Just trying to take precautions in the event that I lay it down... frame sliders would be enough you think? I've seen the stunter cages and they seem effective, but it would probably nullify track days I'm guessing.

Honestly, I'd try and sell it now, then if it don't sell, try and sell it during the springtime when there's a whole new crop of riders. Downside of THAT is the track/race bikes might all be gone by then.

Have you tried Ebay, or cycletrader.com ?? Paying a bit for an ad might sell the bike off.

Look at it this way... track it with the stock plastics. Crash it? No big deal. Just buy the RC45 bodywork kit for it
