Damn... I would have never guessed you couldn't sell 'roo in those states. Wonder how all the fashionistas get away with wearing whooping crane hats out there?

In other news, sweet leathers! Thinking of getting some Jimmy? (now where did I leave that $799...I know it's around here somewhere)

Nice leathers, and I love the legal note at the bottom.

I've decided to get a new set of leathers this winter:

I saw this on another site, it may be helpful. It doesn't give the leathers you are considering a high rating. I wouldn't take this as gospel. On the site where I saw this, many people who have crash tested their Alpinestars defended the brand. I have an Aplinestar jacket which I like a lot (never tested).

Thanks for the link. That was eye-opening. I'm definately going to rethink my next suit purchase. I'm surprised that it faired so poorly in the tests. That suit is supposed to be the same design as what the MotoGP guys wear.

I've heard that my 2 piece JR Speedmaster suit got low marks, but I've crash tested it and it faired quite well.

I saw that as well, I don't think any of them are kangaroo, also I would have liked it if Vansons were in the comparison.

I agree, a lot of the suits in the article aren't readily available here in the US.

+1 I'll need to get Alexa to fix my current leathers first, but I'm probably going that route. Alexa gives them high marks, and she's seen more than one set of crashed leathers. You can get a decent suit for about a grand.

Thanks for the advice Witman. I was going to buy the suit and have small alterations made by Alexa this winter. Since everyone likes the quality of Syed, and my buddy Rdrash has one that fits him well, I think I might go that route. Does anyone have a link where I can check out Syed leathers?
