ALL CLSB track riders PLEASE READ AND VOTE

OK CLSB track riders, for 3 years Ive been hosting CLSB track days, and its been getting better and better each year we do them thanks to myself, the control riders, and you the CLSB riders making the day run smooth as possible.

this year there is a problem.
1. my time this year is somewhat limited "not the main reasons"

2. nesba has such a great sections of track days between blackhawks and autobahn each month to do. and at a GREAT price.

3. for insurance reasons is why i am asking this, i take out personal insurance above what ever one else has that i NEED to obtain because i am HOSTING these track days.

4. in order for me to host at least 2 track days this year i need to set the cost for blackhawks at "around" 175.00 per rider.

YES i know thats 30.00 more then nesba, and YES i know money is an issue with everyone.

the plain and simple facts are, i NEED to know from the ACTUAL riders COMING to my events if you would pay this much to be along with your fellow CLSB members on a private track day.
i simple can not loose money as i have the last last years. i am not rich to loose money like i have.

i really don't like the fact i might be not doing any CLSB track days this year.

SO please HONESTLY vote correctly, and if you voted YES please remember to sign up and come IF we do hold our CLSB track days.

as normal it will more then likely be on a Monday or Friday.

I would pony up the cash for a weekday track day, but probably only one event. Between racing, other trackdays mid-week, I can't take a lot off for any particular group, especially if they were both at Blackhawk.

Cool voted

Ken,
My friend, you should not lose money for helping out this club. That's just wrong for us to expect you to take on that responsability.
With that said, I voted "no" because NESBA commitments and my son's desire to race are more important right now. In my case money is not an issue but time is. Chris and I have already planned all the BHF days, Putnam days, Autobahn days, Barber, Atlanta, Learning Curves, RA, and misc. race days. I can't even go fishing with our schedule.

I really hope it works out the way YOU want.

Best regards,

ps--I just read my post and got wore out. sucks to be old

Hands down the most fun I've had on a track were at the CLSB days. Would I do it again? Hell yeah. Would I pay a premium to do it? Sure.

I'm kinda with Chris though - I'm thinking I might only have the time and the cash to do it one time this summer. I'm keeping my fingers crossed regardless.

I would have to say no. I do enjoy the days alot, but it will be easier now for me to hit trackdays local then going all the way to Blackhawk.

THANKS Ken though fro putting on the trackdays that you have and do.

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!

you know whats another thing to consider?? a BIG consider.

like i said nesba is doing such a good job, covering dates and affordable.

we REALLY need to put our support into THEM , they have helped us, and we help them.

i think our support this year REALLY needs to go to NESBA.

they do so much for our club cause we really make up the MIDWEST riders at the nesba events.

plus like i said there is almost no reason for us to have a CLSB track days this year.

I voted no, I really had an excellent time last year, but Nesba is cheaper and I want to ride as much I can afford.

That said I would probably still go if I had the money in hand when you asked for it.

it was a blast... If you don't do it, I willl miss it.

I think that half the fun of going to the track is seeing everbody. That being said, I would be more that willing to pay extra for the chance to have our own day to get together. I will attend any days that CLSB sponsors.

It all goes back together the way it came apart...unless it came apart at redline!

are you kidding,

I would love to attend any that I can and a few extra bucks dont matter that much to have limited numbers and all people from the club, ken you should never take it up the ass, unless you have the proper equipment and lube if time is the issue everyone would understand and people need to be willing to committ!! I hope you can do it after all my money had a great time last year, now this year I want to go!!!

Would I pay? Yes, in general, I would. $175 isn't outrageous for track time. I'd be worrying more about scheduling, etc.

Would there be any problems with running a CLSB day in tandem with a NESBA weekend? Obviously we wouldn't want to take anything away from NESBA, but that might help with logistics (bike prep, etc.). Less chance of having to deal with demolition derby leftovers and so on, too.

Shit, since I've never done a track day before my opinion is for shit, but it would be nice to see and meet everyone from the board.

You might have to go slow for me at first, but once I crashed a few times I'd be able to keep up.

So, yes I would be willing to pay a premium, and two track days is proably perfect for me since it's my first year and I suck so bad!

I'd pay extra for the CLSB days - cause I like our group & its less crowded.

BUT - my track days are always dependent on my work schedule. So I can not commit to doing the days until I see what contract work I have.

I'm not voting - Yes I'd pay - But No, I can't commit this far in advance.

MAYBE WE SHOULD HAVE A CLSB-NESBA WEEKEND.
It would be a normal Nesba weekend hosted by Nesba.
But the CLSB board decides what week-end the group really wants to get together.
Like people said - its really fun to see everyone - and it IS very social.
Then we can plan & organize for the group getting to the track
We can plan for food & drink & etc.
Set up Camp and spend the week-end at BHF hanging out & partying
Maybe bring a bunch of video cameras & a TV for viewing at the end of each day.

You know damn well I would do any and ALL days YOU plan, as long as I'm physically able....last year I missed 1 do to injury and the second got cancelled....I could've may 'A' last year ( or close ) if those things didn't happen. The best part about them is YOU hosting it. I've never done Nesba but it sounds like a traffic jam at best.....and anyone who can't cough up a lousy $25 more (last year was $152) is FULL OF SHIT! Y'all can go w/o a couple cases of beer that month if you're that strapped for cash.

BTW, I can't believe out of 2000+ members, we can't get 55 people to do this EVERY time you post one up.........people , people......spend some money where it counts, on making the rider BETTER, not bling for the BIKE.
I vote YES!

You know what would be great!!! Having full track day with no sessions. I always look at bang for the buck and that being the case I WOULD TOTALLY PAY the extra money if it were open track with only racers and expert track days riders. HELL, I'd pay +$200 dollars for a full day of track time with out having to wait around for the next session.

Maybe we could break up the groups into individual track days? CLSB Advanced day, CLSB intermediate day, and CLSB beginner day.

Yeah, it would be more money but think of all the track time!! No more waiting around.
Honestly, most people on here only do a couple track days a year so why not pay the extra couple bucks and get 3 times the amount of track time?!?!

Also, its cheaper to rent out the track if everyone has a race licence and I know of a FREE race school. We could have a CLSB track day for everyone with race licence.
