Motel, its like 15 minutes away from the track, and its likely to be cold.

Not to mention, you'll get to see the other LITH boys having fun with kerokie singing!

I'm tempted, but definately don't want to ride down there. Need to check available vacation time. I may also have other plans that weekend. If I do head down there, I'd probably only ride one day. Depends on how much withdrawal I go through and how things shake out with work/friends.

Here's the webpage for the park. It has a list of hotels/motels in the area. Also has the elusive track map. I know Kim was looking for a map and the webpage.

So what's this about no rooms Jim? all motels have no vacancy?

There is a "Covered Bridge Festival" down there this time of year and all the hotels fill up with those numbskulls, so book your rooms now.

Jim, the kareoke night sounds like a real train wreck. Should be fun. See you there.

Well, I fought the urge for 2 days..

Thanks to track sister Kim I'll be heading down there for both days. I'm booking a room someplace. Ramada Inn isn't mentioned but I'll see what I can find during lunch today. This is straight from the Putnam Park. Sorry for the formatting difference, you can figure it out though!

Okay everyone... listen up:

THERE IS NO CAMPING AT PUTNAM. As for motels, Friday night is pretty much sold out in Cloverdale and Greencastle. As of 9:30 this morning, there ARE a few rooms available for Saturday night at the Ramada. Holiday Inn had availability on Saturday night as well.

The Ramada is the former Quality Inn. Call them at (765) 795-3500. Tell them you are participating in an event at Putnam Park - it will get you a better rate ($69.00) According to Putnam's website, other hotels will also give a discounted rate if you mention the racetrack. (The rate would have been $49 if it wasn't for the covered bridge thing).

I've got one room booked at the Ramada on Saturday night. Only rooms left are smoking 1 beds. Friday is sold out.

I'll search for a room Friday night during lunch. Right after I book my track days on the NESBA site.

Grovermeister... If you can't find something in Cloverdale or Greencastle, start working your way back on I-70 towards Indy. Get two rooms, and we can square up later.

I *think* I'm gonna be there. I'm already sirned up & paid for, but I need to find a bike. The F4 is tempting.

I can get out of work by 4pm easily, and perhaps at 3pm.
Last time I got out at 3pm it took 2 hours to get through Chicago!

I can meet up pretty much anywhere. I have room in the cage for a passenger or two and work in Vernon Hills.

Well the only problem with that is leaving during rush hour....that will be a nightmare because we need to head on 294 south.

The entrance ramp to 294 south is 5 miles east of my house.

There's a Hooters 5 miles from my house too....kinda on the way.

If we meet at the Downer's Grove Hooters at 6:00 eat and absorb the scenery for an hour we can get on the road by 7:00. Mapquest says the trip is 230 miles (4hours??). We should roll in by 11:00 and hit the sack.

Or we can leave well before rush hour...say 3:00 and grab dinner when we get up there.
