CCS SportRider trackdays

Anyone ever do these trackdays? I am curious about the attitude and general atmosphere. Is it laid back? I think I want a couple of more days at Blackhawk than Nesba is offering, and I see that CCS is having some trackdays the day after an event.

There just like any other track day. beginner, inter, and advanced. Mostly racers show up so the beginner and inter groups usually only have a couple riders in them so you basically have the track to yourself. Usually there on mondays after the races however there are two LP usa tracks on saturday at Gingerman this year. Bill, the midwest director of ccs is a great guy, usually one of the control riders and he'll give out riding tips and what not.

If you can swing the Monday track day, they are great. Usually do not have any type of pre registration, so if the weather is crappy you just don't show up. They do three groups, sometimes 4 if LCR is doing a school. Traffic is very light on these days. They also do one before the Gingerman races (Saturday).

Cheap, relaxed, and a fairly open track (in the slow group, anyway). Registration in the morning is a bit of a cluster, but you've just gotta have some patience and get through it. Do it if you can!

Cluster only if you compare it to a NESBA or other trackday org. Compared to a race weekend, they are a snap. They also give you a race spec lap timer and print out the results of each session for you. If you have a super good session and want to keep a copy of it they will reprint one for you.

Ok, nowhere on the CCS site does it give a price....or when they are held. Any ideas on that?

It like $70 for racers and $110 to non racers who also need a LP USA member ship thats like $25. I'll double check.

trackday

I have done 2 lp trackdays at blackhawk farms. and both were pretty relaxed, maybe 6 or so bikes on the track. Unless your riding the racer class, then 2 or 3.

check the CCS schedule. Whenever there is a race there, the Monday after that is a track day there.
