Nice bike, Jeff. When do the GP races start?

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

I'm leaving wednesday for the first USGPRU race of the season at JenningsGP. Afterwards I'll be painting the new bike red/black/yellow. I should have it done just in time for Road America.

Dumb question

Is there any advantage in using those type of bikes if you're just a casual track day person? I can understand if you're a more serious racer and want to compete in some certain class.

It seems you're better off getting a more common SS for the more common replacement parts if you're just hitting 3-6 track days a year.

Anyone have an opinion? I just sold my F4i and am looking to get a cheapo track only toy.

I'd say hit the CCS forums and pick up a used older SV650. Completely track prepped. Hell, hit up Jeff here who started this thread for his R6 if he hasn't sold it yet if you are looking for a bit more power. Older R6s are pretty cool track toys. Not really raceable anymore since most have the newer bikes, but for track days it'd be great.

Nice bike!

I wish I was a real racer.
