Yep, I was there.

I was the guy that pulled the E-Z Up off the truck and your Fourrunner. The rubs on your Fourrunner don't look too bad and should buff out but, the truck will have to have some work done.

It was fun. I didn't stay for Sunday. The forcast I saw Friday said Saturday was to be the better of the two days. With gusts on Saturday in the forty mile an hour range I decided I was going home to eat pizza with the family.

Hope you had a good day. You seemed to be pretty comfortable.

It was good to meet you.

So that was you.

Bill
Thanks so much for the assist with the EZ UP. The guy with the red truck was cool. I offerred to compensate him for any damage but he said he did not care. I lost my wallet because the guy on the Suzuki in the pits on the other side of me was struggling loading his bike and I went to help him and set my wallet down in his van and just forgot it there. It was a freaky moment when I realized that it was missing. I was shocked when I got the call on Sunday from him saying to come get my wallet. I really did like the flow of that track and can't wait to get back there. Another friend of mine there loaned me $20 so I would have enough gas and toll money to get home
It was nice meeting you!!!

Great track! I haven't been there in years. How's the sealer strips? T-3 is so sketchy in the cold, way off camber. T-5 rules, I never got the nerve to enter it as fast as necessary.

Sorry, John.

I thought you were back in Chitown and I knew you'd gotten rid of your bike. Sorry for the oversite, Bro. "Stupid is as stupid does."

I was looking forward to it getting warmer. I saw your potential, new horse and I definitely want to catch up and do some riding.

The track was cool as ever. Not real slick, even with the cool temps. Tires never got hot but, that track never disappoints.

I ran a little lower tire pressure

I was running a little under 30 front and rear like 26 front and 28 rear and had no traction problems. I did have to look through the turn on 3 (cause it was a little scary at speed). and not even begin to look down or I would have had an accident (not involving the bike). I will gradually increase speed next time I am there. I ride a little like Grandma vs Grandma until I am really comfortable and know the track. I like smooth as a first priority!

No doubt. It pays big dividends when you can keep a very smooth, rhythmic pace, especially through the esses.

Hi,
I was there. Didn't get a chance to meet anyone else from CLSB, but I did meet lots of cool guys from MI. I ran Saturday and all day Sunday. Sunday race practice absolutely ROCKED. I was on a blue '04 R6 with stock body work and white taped headlights, but I didn't have a number plate so I don't think I ran with your group. Too bad that R1 had to blow up right in front of me and spew oil all over the track in T2 cutting one session out. All in all very good times and an excellent experience for my first trip to Grattan. Next up is BHF on the 17th.

Which session did you ride in, where were you pitted and which bike were you on? Going to BHF anytime soon? That'll probably be my next event which I'll be down south for.

Awsome weather that day at Grattan! Perfect day! Got more laps than I could handle, tires warmed up really nice, my hands cramped up a little, but the bike is set up rite and I'm ready for this season. Great way to start the season off!

I was in the center, between the garage and the cars next to the grass. I was right behind GrandpaNot. I don't know if I'll make it to BHF. I was hoping to get there this year but, if I get there I doubt I'll be riding.

I was on Dark egg plant Colored SV plated yellow # 4. I rode in both sessions all day, thats why I got so damed tired! Got way more track time than should be allowed for 60 bucks! How come there can't be more track days for 60 bucks? I caught air a couple times coming over the jump, did a few Knack Knacks and Cann Canns, I pulled a no hander once or twice to, was thinking about doing a seat graber. Just joking!

yeah I caught air off the jump a few times too, also did a couple of stoppies right after it and at the end of the straight.

I agree way more fun than should be legal for $60! At the end of the day I wanted to take the rest of my week off and spend it at Grattan. Now I'm going through track withdrawl till the 17th

and now to piss off everyone with dial up here are a few pics:
I'm second from the front chasing the TLR

TLR chasing me

1st lap of a session warming up the tires with two of the guys I had a lot of fun passing and getting passed with

going into the bowl
