how often do you change your oil?

After every trackday? Every other trackday? Every set mileage 1k, 2k, or 3k? Since I'll be doing somewhere between 5 and 10 trackdays this year, I want to make sure it has good oil while I'm floggin' the piss out of it. Opinions please

After every fourth track day. Like alex said front brake fluid after every weekend. Back brakes never touch.

Most of the time with my race bike it's every other weekend. I'll be changing it after this weekend because it was essentially two weekends together, and I spent about 45 seconds of each lap somewhere between 9000-10500 RPMS in sixth gear. Damn Road America.

thanks! I hadn't thought about changing the brake fluid yet, so I will do that after every trackday and change motor oil every other trackday.

I change my brake fluid once every year. I once went 3 years straight with the same fluid. I replace my tranny fluid every 300 miles or whenever I do a topend rebuild.

Damnit, you're suppose to change your brake fluid that often? I haven't touched my brake fluid in like 6 track weekends... I better get on that shit before I go do it again...

there's no set time to change your brake fluid. Change them when you think it's necessary or if it's effecting your riding.

Oil, every 2 days ( double weekend ) and the filter every other change.

Castrol GTX 1040 Here.... the value of synth is lost with frequent changing.

Amen on the brake bleeding... needs to be done often.

WOW, now I know why oil prices are high.......changing oil every 200 miles? Seems like a waste..........to each their own I suppose.

Taz, changing your oil that often is good insurance your engine will last a long time especially when you're running it hard at the track.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Well, I would hope like hell that the synthectic I ran in the Mille would hold up to waaaaay more than a couple hundred miles....otherwise it's worthless. Hell, even dyno oil shouldn't have viscosity breakdown in that short a span, no matter how hard it's used.

However, I will agree that changing the filter would be wise after about 3-4 track days. Keep it doing it's job.
