Reference points are important!!!

Wow, I just learned a very important lesson about reference points and just how much I depend on them... I just flew off the racetrack at Road America in turn one at about 150mph cuz someone knocked down all the brake markers and I didn't start to brake until brake marker 1 when I usually brake between 4 and 3! Good thing I was able to get myself stopped before running into the tire barrier and didn't hurt anything or anyone...

*All of the above happened on my Xbox when I was playing Forza Motorsports with my little 4 year old brother to help me learn RA's track layout
RA is so big that it takes me almost 4 minutes to lap him

I've been doing the same thing, in addition to watching onboard footage of RA on Motovid's site

I'm trying to remember that after the carosel the bend will be there, unlike Forza's layout with the kink.

What class do you ride in? Actually it doesn't matter, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to spot that bike regardless of what sticker you got on it. I'll be there both days, so if you happen to see a large 22yr old chinese guy on a sky blue and black gixxer #276, that's me

All the brake markers were gone??

Glad to hear you are okay. Running off the front straight at RA is not something I'd like to do. That's one fast section.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

I don't really look at the brake markers anyway. I'm looking at the turn itself. They could remove all the markers entirely and it wouldn't make much difference to me. I have bionic GPS.

I was using the brown spot in the grass and the dip under the bridge for T6. Oh and the paint out of T5 for a when to wheelie/when NOT to wheelie referance

Life has no instruction manual. Parts and labor can be impossible to find. Many go down the road with parts that are in need of service. A breakdown is eventual.
