I rode the south track on Sunday. Not sure if I like it or not. It doesn't flow at all and it pretty much sucked for my little ass bike. Had a really rough time learning the track as alot of the corners caught off guard. All I could manage all day was 38's until the very last session where I got some 36's. Looking at the WERA national races held there earlier this year and the times they were turning, unless I find 2 seconds or so, I'm fucked!

How'd the TZ handle the nasty bumps? While you might be able to tweak the suspension enough to make it almost okay, it would be difficult. You should do okay at the races this weekend. If you can get time during the week, PTT has a day beforehand. It's sold out but he still might have some racer only sessions available.

Considering 1/2 the field you are racing won't even have a day there, you should finish pretty good, especially if you are good on the brakes. Some of the corners are damn sharp so EVERYBODY goes slow through them. Put yourself in front of them then haul ass.

Chris,
The bumps were a nightmare at first but I got used to it and learned to deal with it. I'm not so worried about the CCS regional guys that I normally race with as I am about the USGPRU/FUSA guys that will enter LWGP. Them boys go fast straight out of the box so I don't see having a day of practice is an advantage when racing those boys. Another bad thing about this track is that you can only go so fast through the really slow sections that you can't really make up time on the big bikes there. At this point, I'll be happy if I can qualify mid-pack for the USGPRU 250 race.

I liked the track very much but we ran the full course on Monday and it was great. Only noticed a few bumbs around the corner where the big black patch was. Either way it was well designed track and I had a great time. Heres some pics from the event https://chicagolandsportbikes.com/for...ad.php?t=32630
