I don't see the paddock pass. -edit ** It's sold out and they raised that price $10

I need to check hotel prices before I order the tickets.
I am not paying $300 a night

2 thoughts..

i was there this year.. as far as i was concerned, the paddock pass was marginal. all you could see was the back of the moto gp garage (which was covered). once in a while a rider or celebrity would walk by. . i didn't try to walk over to the AMA area. .. it was a paddock unlike ANY i have ever been to.. MINIMAL access..

i couldn't get a pass so i bought one (at a discount) from someone leaving the paddock. (i tried everyone i knew, from a Suzuki VP, to an AMA sponsor, to a guy i know who works for Mazda, i could not buy a pass BEFORE the day) i have been to many pit/paddock areas and this one was by far the most disappointing. .. GREAT track though and lots of fun... the best way to get in there is by bike. .. i was only stopped once by the cops for lane splitting. .. Can't cross the yellow line. crowds are huge as well as the traffic.

we were in the pits last year and didn't think it was a big deal either.. all the motogp stuff is separate. somoene asked and bought my paddock pass on sunday on my way to the track.

The alternate directions were great getting to the track through that army base.. there was zero traffic.. but then again we showed up Friday and left sunday about an hour or 2 after the race.

I won't be going back next year. They have some serious traffic issues to hammer out before I return. I was stuck on a hillside parking lot for 2 hours without moving at all. Took us another hour to get out of there after that.

It's worth going once, and being part of Nick and Colin winning is priceless. I however am planning a Valencia or possibly Sachsenring trip.
