Edwards makes Aprilia debut in Jerez

Colin Edwards and Noriyuki Haga today completed the first of three days testing at the Spanish circuit of Jerez riding the Aprilia RS Cube. For Edwards it was the first time he had ridden the four-stroke MotoGP machine, whilst Haga had already tested at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia.

The American spent the day adjusting the position of the motorcycle to suit his tall frame and getting to know the crew of mechanics with whom he will work throughout the 2003 season. Haga, meanwhile, tested some set-up changes based on data gathered at Valencia. Today was also the first day of testing for Michelin with the Aprilia MotoGP project, with the Noale factory machine using the French tyres for the first time.

I'm really going to miss Collin riding for Big Red. He did pay his dues. Could you imagine Collin, Valintino and Nicky ripping up the GP circuit?

Damn, it would have been Honda 1,2,3 in almost every race. Oh well... They all make too much money just for playing on bikes anyway.

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

yeah! I'm planning on watching every MotoGP race next season!

I've never been too brand loyal, I like Honda but the others are good too.

I'd like to see Hopkins, Nicky, or Colin on top of the box next year, that would be cool! They're all pretty cool, but I'll be pulling for Colin!

That is AWESOME!! I can't wait to see how Aprilia does next year. I'm not brand loyal either, but sometimes I have to go against the grain, since there are sooo many loyal ride red guys around here.

Actually im not brand loyal, kawi's just fit me the best comfort wise. suzukis are to tall, yamaha's to radical and to be honest no honda outside the rc51 has done anything for me. i would own a 51 and i might soon but thats why i ride green. oh yeah and its fun beating up on everyone with "lesser" equipment!!
