Got my new GSXR 1000 for the track!!

Well, I am as excited as a kid in a candy store! Drucker picked up my new bike, and sent me pictures of it. Mint, new, ZERO miles... and it is gonna be a track baby, pure and simple.
.
.

Got lots of goodies ordered, and Mr. Drucker is gonna do his magic on it while the snow is on the ground. Can't wait to get back out there with NESBA next season.

Thanks go out to Carol Drucker, for convincing me to try a GSXR1000, to RonHix for getting one (https://chicagolandsportbikes.com/for...d.php?t=35296), and to Matt Drucker, for making Ron's slower than mine... (I need all the help I can get)

Now, all I need to do is learn how to ride. That's on the schedule for next season.

Still a wannabe...

Barry,

Keepin it for now. I also have a GSXR600. I am gonna keep at least one 600 as a B-bike, and hopefully get a chance to try racing at least once or twice. My daughter claims she is going to do NESBA next year. If so, she may be riding the F4i... or my brother. We'll see how it goes.

Either way, I will be on the track. Hope to ride 600s on the more technical track, and the 1000 on RoadAmerica and RoadAtlanta.

Still have lots to learn, and I want to make sure that the 1000 doesn't get in the way of improving my corner speeds. So, Barry... plan on coaching me next year. I still have quite a few seconds to shave to beat Mr. Hix.

Anyhow, looking forward to next year.

Brian

Thanks though Marshall. You are just gonna love ripping by me all the same on the new bike. Just wave as you pass... I'll smile just knowing what a speed demon you are.

And here I sit in Vegas tonight (by myself)... the thought of extra company never ever even slightly even at all or in the least ever occurred to me...

Yeah, back to the topic. I am becoming a GSXR fan more and more on a daily basis. Thanks GixxerChic, unfortunately, I still don't have one to ride to Strats. Still going to be on the 12R for street riding.

So are we gonna get you out to the track next yr? BTW... you still owe me some lessons next yr.

I bet that baby will change your outlook on life on the track.

You should be realistically screaming into T1 and approaching T5 at Road America at around 180 mph. That bike will also be lifting the front wheel/catching huge air coming up the front straight hill at around 150mph as well- imagine how cool that'll feel.

Color me jealous!

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Remember, Bmoney did that! He came walking into the pit, and we said, "Hey, Brian! Where's your bike?" He said, "oh, about a quarter mile down that way."

He'd looped it right at that spot on the front straight. He was ok, and the bike was actually not too bad off either. But I'm sure he wouldn't want to repeat that!

I catch front wheel air even on my 929. Are any of you managing to keep it wide open on a GSXR1000 over that rise? I wouldn't think it is possible...
